"I have worked as an MEP commissioning services provider for the last 15 years, and had the good fortune to work with Josh Ironside on two significant projects fairly recently. Josh’s role was to represent the mechanical contractor during the commissioning phases of the projects. I found Josh to be extremely knowledgeable and well organized. Josh also demonstrated his commitment to the projects by his professional attitude and approach. Josh’s involvement was instrumental in helping the projects complete successfully. I can recommend Josh for this role unequivocally."Doug Brown, PE, LEED AP, CCP

"Josh has been the glue that adheres the Commissioning Team on our public utility project. Everyone quickly recognized him as an informative resource, driver of issue resolution, and provider of guidance to all stakeholders on the team. His ability to quickly learn a large intricate critical infrastructure project was unsurpassed. In addition to his obvious technical knowledge and experience, his ability to communicate to all team members, with language, perspective, and empathy, catered to the listener, maybe his most valuable asset. Any project would benefit from streamlined, effective commissioning, cost and schedule savings, and employee exposure to an efficient process by utilizing Ironside Services."

"I have been involved with multiple projects working with Josh at Ironside Services, LLC since 2019 and it has been a great partnership. Josh is able to add value to the Mechanical and DDC Controls Contractors work methodologies by collaborating with the Project Tier to work smoothly with the General Contractor and Stakeholders / Owners. Josh has a unique way of breaking down complex systems to a basic level so all parties involved understand the path forward and resolving difficult problems as they arise by engaging impacted parties with a resolution that everyone agrees on. Josh is a great asset to have consulting with your team."

About
Ironside Services, LLC
Josh Ironside, PE
Ironside Services, LLC provides MEP coordination as well as startup and commissioning services for General Contractors, trade partners and building owners who are looking to maximize efficiency of their projects.
As project requirements have become more focused on building efficiency, systems have become more complex and custom. Add to the mix the multiple methods of accomplishing this efficiency, the different platforms used to measure it, and the challenges of the unexpected, let Ironside Services Keep It Simple for you. Through collaboration, transparency and accountability, Ironside Services will ensure systems are installed, started and commissioning properly.
After graduating from Colorado State University with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Josh Ironside began his career in construction building combined cycle power plants in the South East United States where he was responsible for the Structural and Mechanical coordination. After traveling all over the United States (and Japan), he realized that living out of two suitcases was not his life path. He moved back to the Pacific Northwest and entered the commercial construction market, working for General Contractors and Trade Partners as an MEP coordinator; he also obtained his Professional Engineering license for the State of Oregon. As building commissioning became a more important aspect of his projects, Josh decided to pursue that phase of work as his primary focus. Acting as the Commissioning Manager for one of the larger full Mechanical Contractors in Portland, he has successfully commissioned many types of facilities, from Mission Critical, to hospitals, hotels and schools. In 2018, he decided to break out on his own as a consultant to offer his services based on his wide range of experience.
